Invite each year group or class to prepare a short presentation on an Australia theme and you’ve got a whole week’s worth of assemblies.
Class assemblies offer a great opportunity for children to showcase their work. Why not ask each class to take on one of the themes below? That way they become ‘experts’ on one aspect of the Australia theme, and you have at least a week’s worth of assemblies. We have suggested some ideas for each year group but these can be adapted and extended to match children’s interests and abilities. Classes will need plenty of time to research, prepare and practise their presentations.
